Technique for applying gel polish with reinforcement. Strengthening nails with gel - the subtleties of fashionable manicure

Recently, biogel for nails has become more and more popular. It is especially important to use it for girls who naturally have thin and brittle nail plates. It is believed that this is a safe way to naturally improve the appearance and condition of a manicure.

Is biogel and gel polish good for nails?

If you decide to try gel nail strengthening on yourself, it is recommended that you contact the salon for this. However, many girls have learned to carry out a correction session at home, because this procedure is much simpler than acrylic or gel extensions. In addition, it requires fewer consumables, which are easy to buy.

Covering nails with biogel is a simple technique, which will result not only in strengthening the nail plate, but also in caring for the cuticle. Thanks to this, you can do trimmed manicure much less often. Coating natural nails with gel makes them thicker, stronger, smoother. This is especially important for brittle, delamination-prone plates that lack minerals and vitamins. From above, you can apply beautiful colored varnishes, stickers or rhinestones as desired.

Applying gel polish does not have special healing properties. This is more a way to decorate a manicure. You can remove the covering layer using a special tool, spending no more than 15 minutes on the procedure. It is recommended to correct the gel coating at least every 3 weeks, because during this time the nail plate grows back, and the difference becomes obvious. Strengthening with biogel differs from extensions in that it does not radically change the length and shape.

The composition is applied to the surface of the natural nail plate, smoothes, makes it more solid and durable. Bio gel for strengthening nails consists of 35% protein, therefore it is not rejected by the tissue and does not damage it. It is important to use such a tool after removing acrylic or shellac, when the plates need healing, protection, restoration. The texture of the biogel is liquid, the composition falls on the plate in a thin layer, does not need to be corrected. After 4 sessions of strengthening nails with gel, the result of the application will become noticeable.

Many modern girls have already learned how to strengthen their nails at home on their own. The most important thing in this matter is the preparation of tools and materials for the procedure. For this purpose, you should prepare a remedy, a nail file, a buff, a degreaser, an ultraviolet lamp. Strict adherence to the steps of the procedure will help to get good results. It is worth noting that this method can be applied not only on the hands, but also on the legs.

  • trimming the shape with a nail file;
  • optionally - applying colored varnish;
  • after 2-3 weeks it is time to adjust the coverage.

Strengthening nails with biogel

This remedy was created for medicinal purposes, because it does not lengthen the nail plates, does not change their shape, and is not decorative. Biogel is made from proteins and teak resin, which grows in South Africa. A natural biological product is allowed to be used even by pregnant women who fear for the health of the baby.

Often women with weak, brittle nails complain that a beautiful manicure is not for them.

Modern manicure technologies offer different solutions for such nails.

For example, extensions with gel or acrylic to lengthen nails, give them a beautiful shape and strength.

However, not everyone knows that gel can be used to strengthen nails.

There are many factors that lead nails to a deplorable state in which they exfoliate, break and become thinner. It can be both internal problems of the body, and an external aggressive environment.

Among the most famous are:

  • hereditary factor (thin nail plate);
  • diseases of internal organs;
  • intoxication of the body, including taking a number of drugs;
  • poor ecology, the content of various impurities in the water;
  • damage to nails by chemical components, especially if it is work-related and occurs constantly;
  • low-quality nail polishes and other manicure products;
  • violation in the technology of nail extension.

There are various means and methods for strengthening nails. For them, special baths are made with salt, herbal infusions. Also use masks for nails at home. All these remedies were known to our mothers and grandmothers, but the gel for strengthening nails began to be used relatively recently. It is quickly gaining popularity due to the fact that it can strengthen nails quickly and efficiently.

It is worth noting

The composition of the gel includes the resin of coniferous trees. It does not cause allergies and can serve as a prophylaxis against fungal diseases. In its structure, after polymerization, it resembles a natural nail. The gel becomes flexible but strong.

To strengthen the nails, the gel is applied in two thin layers, each of which is dried in a UV lamp.

This achieves the following benefits for weak and brittle nails:

  • nails become strong;
  • have a smooth glossy finish;
  • delamination and fragility are excluded;
  • in case of damage caused by external factors, the nail is restored during regrowth;
  • gel coating protects nails from harsh chemicals;
  • it is possible to make a beautiful manicure design;
  • coverage longevity.

Strengthening nails with gel is done in the same way on the legs. In addition to protection against brittleness and delamination, an ingrown nail is treated. Since the gel tightly connects to the nail, makes it strong and fixes its shape, there is no deformation of the nail when the free edge grows.

How to strengthen nails with biogel at home

To strengthen the nails, gel and biogel are used. These materials differ in their composition.

The gel is a hard, but at the same time brittle material. Unlike it, biogel for strengthening nails is more elastic, it can bend, but not break.

Another advantage of biogel is that it is easier to remove from nails. It is easily removed with a special liquid, while the gel can only be removed by cutting.

Biogel has a natural composition, which is so harmless that both allergy sufferers and pregnant women can use it.

However, biogel also has disadvantages. It is easily destroyed upon contact with substances and environments such as:

  • aggressive chemicals;
  • acetone;
  • alcohol or alcohol;
  • hot water (with prolonged contact);
  • high temperatures (frequent visits to the sauna).

To avoid the destruction of the biogel, you should carefully consider the above indicators. Use protective equipment, such as gloves, when cleaning, washing dishes and prolonged exposure to hot water. When removing the previous layer of varnish, do not use products containing acetone.

It is necessary to distinguish between nail extensions with biogel or gel and their strengthening. When building up, the same materials are used, only with the help of special forms or tips, the nails are lengthened, forming an artificial tip. In the process of strengthening, the gel is applied only to the natural nail and in a thinner layer.

Bio gel for strengthening nails can be applied both in the salon and independently. It has a plastic structure and is easy to work with. If such a procedure is necessary all the time, then it makes sense to do it at home. This will save you money and time on trips to the salon. It will take a one-time significant investment to purchase tools and funds that will quickly pay off. And, most importantly, they will strengthen the nails, make them healthier and allow the fingers to always be beautiful and well-groomed.

Strengthening nails with biogel at home will require the following tools:

  • tools and tools for working with cuticles (for classical or European methods);
  • UV lamp, the best choice is 36W (will save time for drying);
  • brushes for gel with artificial bristles;
  • file 180 grit;
  • buff (polisher);
  • biogel (it comes in different colors);
  • top gel (fixer) to add shine to the coating;
  • liquid that removes the sticky layer;
  • primer or bondex (for degreasing nails before applying biogel);
  • antiseptic;
  • manicure wipes.

Before you perform nail strengthening with biogel at home, you need to carefully study this technology. It is desirable to see how a professional works, so a visit to the salon at least once is necessary. If there is a violation in the technology of strengthening nails with gel, problems may arise associated with its premature detachment.

How to strengthen nails with biogel:

  • Before working with the nail plates, it is necessary to process the cuticle in the usual way. If a trimmed manicure is performed, then it is possible to injure her. Therefore, in this case, it is better to perform these actions 1 or 2 days before strengthening.
  • After giving the free edge of the nail the desired shape, proceed to polishing the nail plate. For a gentle treatment, you need to use a buff that will gently remove the shiny layer. Next, degrease the nails with a primer. Let them dry.
  • Apply a thin layer of biogel on the nails. Dry in the lamp for about two minutes. Repeat the procedure 2 or 3 times. Be sure to seal the nail by applying biogel to the free edge.
  • After all the nails are covered with an even layer of biogel, a top coat is applied. The top gel dries in the lamp for about 2 minutes. Then, using a special liquid, remove the sticky layer and rub the oil into the cuticle. Nails are ready. Now they are strong and protected.

When strengthening nails, you can make a decorative manicure. For this, gels of different colors are used, as well as various decorative elements.

Nail care is a mandatory measure to preserve the beauty and health of hands. Acting as an indicator of the general condition, nails, being influenced by aggressive external factors, break and crack. To support them, there are measures to strengthen them.

Features of care

Proper care consists in daily cosmetic procedures: nutrition, giving up bad habits, protection. With deformation and thinning of the nail plate, special care is required. You can strengthen weakened nails with the help of gel bases.

Benefits of strengthening nails:

  • leveling the surface of the nail plate;
  • care not only for the nail, but also for the cuticle;
  • cheapness, in comparison with the classic extension;
  • the possibility of self-fulfillment.

The disadvantages include:

  • the need for correction when a border appears between the natural nail and the coating, usually once every 2-3 weeks;
  • The duration of the procedure, the work takes an average of 1-2 hours.

What are the coatings? There are 2 types of coatings: standard gel and biogel.

The use of biogel is a simpler procedure. For its application, it is not required to wash down natural nails. The composition is applied in a thin layer and easily removed. However, the coating is short-lived, easily deformed under the influence of negative factors.

With the help of the gel, you can not only strengthen, but also increase any length. The nails become harder, the correction is performed without removing the old material. However, before applying the gel, you need to wash down the nails. The final thickness is greater, and therefore elasticity is lost, and susceptibility to chipping and cracking is increased. Removal is carried out by cutting, which can injure the nail plate.

At home

To create a smooth surface, you can use the extension of the gel. It strengthens and creates a coating for applying decorative designs. In addition, it protects the manicure from mechanical damage. Before applying the gel, you need to grind the nail plate with a file and polish it with a buff.

To strengthen the nail plates with gel after multiple extensions, you can use a similar tool - biogel. It contains proteins and vitamins that heal and stimulate nail growth.

Both tools are suitable for independent use, however, financial investments will be required to purchase materials and equipment and hone skills.

In the cabin

In the beauty salon, the specialist will strengthen the nail plate, correct the shape, and carry out hygiene measures under aseptic conditions. Using professional brands of products, it will build up and fix a weakened nail plate.

Note! The gel is effective in the treatment of onychocryptosis, as a form strengthener of the ingrown nail.

A visit to the salon allows you to quickly and comfortably get the desired result.

About gel for strengthening nails

The use of the gel is safe, it does not change the natural thickness of the nail, creating a protective layer on top. Unlike building with acrylic or a fabric system using fiberglass, the procedure itself is faster and easier.

For classic extensions, special forms or tips are needed to form the future shape and length of the nail. The gel coating as a reinforcement does not require additional forms and is applied to the natural nail plate, while maintaining its native length.

Benefits of using:

  • alignment of the nail plate;
  • restoration of thickness and strength;
  • the possibility of independent use;
  • cheap consumables, compared with salon care.

Important! The composition itself does not have medicinal properties. To solve the problems of thinning nails, you need to see a doctor.

Any decorative elements can be applied over the gel base: varnishes, stickers, rubbing, etc. The removal process with a special solution takes an average of 15 minutes. The coating does not interfere with the natural growth of the plate, it needs regular correction.

How to strengthen your nails with gel

Self-strengthening nail kit includes:

  • ultraviolet lamp;
  • files of varying degrees of abrasiveness;
  • orange stick;
  • degreaser;
  • disinfectants;
  • adhesive remover;
  • brushes;
  • gel;
  • cuticle oil.

The general instruction consists of a hygienic manicure, the use of a base coat, the distribution of the gel and the finishing layer.

Strengthening nails with gel under gel polish

How to strengthen natural nails with gel step by step? To strengthen nails with gel under gel polish, you need a standard manicure treatment. After shaping the edges of the plate, sand them with a file and polish the surface with a buff. After that, carefully disinfect the work areas.

Push the cuticle back with an orange stick and remove any remaining cuticles. Thoroughly treat nails with a degreaser. After complete drying, apply a primer that provides adhesion of the fixing composition to the nail plate.

Apply a gel layer with a brush, without touching the periungual ridges. Cure the gel under the action of a UV lamp, apply another layer.

Note! To strengthen long nails, you can apply a layer of fiberglass (fiberglass fabric).

To fix the polymers of the gel, it is necessary to hold the nails for several minutes under a UV lamp. Apply and polymerize a layer of decorative gel polish. Apply a topcoat, dry in a UV lamp and remove the dispersion layer with a clinser. At the end of the manicure, rub moisturizing oil into the cuticles.

Strengthening nails with extension gel

Biogel is used to strengthen nails for extension. Biogel is a colorless polymer that allows the nail plate to breathe without clogging the pores. The varnish applied to the biogel is more stable due to better adhesion. In addition, biogel plates do not thicken the nails, contributing to their nutrition and growth stimulation.

After performing a standard manicure, apply a thin layer of base coat. Evenly distribute the biogel on it according to the future shape of the nail. After drying with a UV lamp, file the edges and cover the plate with a finishing compound, removing the sticky layer after.

Gel strengthening of natural nails

Gel strengthening of natural nails is similar to extension procedure. Preparation of nails is necessary: polishing and degreasing. After you need to apply in 2 layers of the gel, drying thoroughly each time. At the end, give a soft file an even shape to the edges.

Strengthening nails with transparent gel

Before coating with shellac, you can strengthen the nails with soaking transparent Entity gel. It does not need to be cut, which means that the nail plate will not be injured. The strengthening scheme is standard: cleansing, shaping, applying the gel, sawdust and topcoat.

A distinctive feature is the laying out of the gel base in 3 stages: on the tip, middle part and base. After each application, you need to polymerize the area with a UV or LED lamp.

ABOUTmonophasic nail strengthening gel

Single-phase gel is a complex mixture that combines adhesive, modeling and protective functions. This gel is more suitable for home use.

Instead of alternately applying base, gel and finish, you only need 1 coat. With even application at the end, no adjustment of the borders of the nail is required.

Strengthening the nail plate with biogel is a popular procedure. Since its composition is natural, it eventually collapses under the influence of household chemicals and prolonged contact with water. Therefore, to protect the manicure, it is recommended to carry out household chores with gloves.

When using a rubber base and top, the coating will be more flexible, resistant to cracking.

You can avoid peeling of the coating by refusing to use moisturizers and oils a few hours before the manicure.

The coating will be more stable if the hands are not steamed before the procedure. If this is necessary, it is better to strengthen the nails the next day.

You can create a perfectly flat surface by carefully removing the pterygium from the nail plate. Leakage of the base on the cuticle or nail folds contributes to the delamination of the gel. After each stage of applying the material, the end of the nail must be sealed. This technique will allow you to get rid of chips.

Important! Before strengthening the nails, an examination by a doctor is necessary for the presence of a fungal infection, cracks or wounds. In addition, a test for an individual allergic reaction to the materials used is required.

During pregnancy, chemotherapy, diabetes or hormonal disruptions, the gel coating will quickly become unusable. Its exfoliation can be observed due to antibiotics, stress, pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Strengthening nails with gel is an effective procedure. The possibility of using the gel as a basis for decorative manicure is very much in demand. To restore and nourish nails after frequent extensions, it is recommended to use biogel, which helps to restore the nail plate without interfering with its growth.

It is worth noting that it does not have special healing properties (if it is not a biogel), but it allows you to make the nail plate stronger. Any varnish, patterns, stickers, decorative elements can be applied on top.

The gel itself is removed with a special solvent (it takes about 15 minutes), correction is needed every two to three weeks, since the nails grow along with the gel and the difference becomes visually noticeable.

Many are interested in the question of how the build-up differs from the strengthening.

Building allows you to change the length and shape, and strengthening involves applying the gel to the entire surface of the nail without drastic changes.

The main feature of the composition is a certain plasticity, due to which the plate can move like a natural one.

Most women after removing extended nails note that natural nails become brittle, brittle, weak.

A special biogel can also help them recover, the action of which is aimed specifically at healing and treatment.

It is applied in a thin layer, so it does not need correction, but is simply removed like a gel polish. Such strengthening nails after gel will achieve good results after 3-4 applications.

After 2-3 weeks, a correction will be required, as the gel will grow along with the plate. The master removes the old layer and applies a new one.

Biogel, unlike many others, was created specifically for medicinal purposes, and not to lengthen the plate, like regular gel or acrylic.

It is made from polymers, the same as in other nail materials.

There is no amazing composition with myths about which the Internet is full, the whole essence of the product is in a very gentle flexible structure that perfectly protects nails.

VIDEO ABOUT BIOGEL with instructions

The cuticle is treated with oil. After that, you can immediately start doing household chores, without fear that the coating will be damaged.

Despite the traditional popularity of a long manicure, there are many lovers of short nails. They also need care, especially if the task is to grow them to a certain length.

To speed up regrowth or just make them stronger, they also resort to gel.

Due to the variety of color schemes, even the shortest manicure can be made bright and interesting.

The advantages of the procedure are obvious - gel strengthening of short nails improves their condition, restores the structure after extension, and accelerates regrowth.

Fashion does not stand still, it is constantly evolving, offering more and more new achievements in personal care. Not so long ago, many women faced the problem of brittle nails. However, this is in the past. There are many tools that help to quickly strengthen the nails, making the hands irresistible. One of these magical "elixirs" is a special gel.

Advantages and disadvantages

Modern tools work wonders, allowing girls with brittle nails to wear a chic manicure. Gel under gel polish is used quite often. It allows you to adjust both the thickness and length of the nails. In combination with gel polish, you get a high-quality manicure that will last 2-3 weeks. The only disadvantage of such a strengthening is that after removing the gel, the entire effect disappears.

Nail strengthening gel is both hard and brittle. Most often it is applied to natural nail plates. It is applied in a thin layer and in fact is the foundation on which you can make various patterns or glue sparkles and stickers. The composition of the gel is a safe substance.

It does not cause thinning of the nail plates, while caring for them and cuticles.

Another remedy for strengthening nails is biogel. It is durable, good elasticity, besides, it is easy to remove. Biogel is used for strengthening procedures much more often. Moreover, it is one of the few means that provides a healing effect. This is largely due to the natural composition. Biogel has no contraindications and it can be used even by allergy sufferers. Under the biogel, the nails actually "breathe", ceasing to be dull with a yellowish tinge. If you use biogel often, then not only the nails will look and feel better, but also the ridges around the nails, as well as the cuticles, will improve.

A significant difference between a biogel and a simple gel is a softer removal process. After hardening, the biogel does not need to be cut down, it is enough just to use a special solution. However, this type of gel has a significant drawback - it dissolves when it comes into contact with hot water, detergents, liquids containing alcohol. Therefore, most household chores will have to be done exclusively with rubber gloves.

Acrylic powder is also used for strengthening, which is actually a "cement" for nails. It differs from gel in that it gives the nails hardness. However, they are similar to the gel in that they do not have any therapeutic effect at all, only cosmetic. In fact, the substance strengthens the varnish, which is on the nails, and not themselves.

Acrylic, in addition to strength, allows the manicure to last longer in its original state. Often it is used to straighten non-extended nails. In addition, it prevents the appearance of cracks on the nail plates. To apply acrylic powder on your nails, you will need a fan brush or pusher. After application, the nail plates need to be dried under a special lamp.

In order to strengthen nails under gel polish, you can also use the base. The main advantage of this tool is that it is easy to apply. To prolong the wear of the varnish, the base must be applied in several layers.

And this applies to any type of base, even thick.

When is it necessary?

All women who take care of themselves know that the strengthening of the nail plates must be carried out before and after extension. Also, this procedure should be resorted to after the gel polish is removed.

Under the gel polish, the nail plates are for a long time and, as a result, their condition worsens somewhat. If you do not use strengthening agents, you will have to spend a lot of effort to maintain nails in good condition. After all, gel polish is not a means of strengthening and does not perform protective functions. The nails to which it is applied can be subject to various diseases, including bacterial, fungal, viral. In the event that something bad happened to the nails, a recovery course is needed using special tools that strengthen and promote growth.

Strengthening is important for thin and too brittle nails, but it is more important if the nails have deteriorated from the frequent use of gel polish. This happens quite often, especially with permanent build-up, when mechanical removal of the gel is used. You can restore damaged nail plates yourself at home with the help of biogel. This substance helps to improve, strengthen and stimulate the natural growth of nails. This is largely due to the fact that the substance contains vitamins A and E, keratin protein, calcium, and plant components.

Often, biogel is used to strengthen the nail plates on the legs. This is especially recommended in the treatment of onychocryptosis. Getting on the nail, the gel fixes the shape, giving it strength. As a result, the free edge ceases to deform during growth, and the nails will no longer grow. However, before applying the product, it is necessary to polish the nails with a nail file, and then polish with a buff.

Thin nails are not only strengthened by the gel, but also become even with a smooth surface, on which the gel polish will lie even better. On gel-coated nail plates, you can create fascinating compositions using acrylic paint, dots, needles and stencils. Flexible gel coating creates a reliable protection of the manicure from various mechanical damage.

It is suitable for nails of any shape.

What will be required?

Before you start strengthening nails and applying gel polish, you need to prepare all the necessary tools and materials. To prepare the nail plates, you will need:

  • a nail file or buff to give the desired shape and align the nails;
  • stick to push back the cuticle (orange or metal);
  • nippers or remover, depending on the type of manicure (classic or unedged).

In addition, you need to prepare everything for the manicure itself:

  • gel (and, if necessary, also a base and finish);
  • primer for degreasing the nail plates (if the nails are wet, then acid should be used);
  • a dense brush made of synthetic fibers for applying the gel;
  • UV lamp to dry each layer.

How to do?

When everything is ready, you can go directly to the process itself. Manicure at home is best done in stages - this will help step by step instructions. If you follow it, it becomes clear that it is not difficult to strengthen nails with gel under gel polish.

  • You need to start with the processing of nails. There are various ways to perform a manicure, including European with a remover, classic edged and hardware. They differ only in the options for removing the cuticle. Also, the nail plates must be given the desired shape.
  • For a good fixation of the gel, the nails must be treated with a soft buff. However, here it is important not to thin the plate too much.
  • Next, you need to apply a degreaser to the nails. This is also necessary for better fixation of the gel. After applying it, the nails should not be touched. If biogel is used, then you can do without grinding, only degreasing.

  • After all these procedures, you can do the base, which is the hardener. This layer can be made with biogel or just gel. The product is applied with a synthetic brush, while the layer should be very thin.
  • After - the coating is dried under the lamp for 3 - 120 seconds. The exposure time depends on the lamp itself, as well as on the quality of the material.
  • Next is the coating of the nail plate with gel polish. It should also be a little, and then the nails must be dried under a UV lamp. This layer is considered the main one.

  • Next, another thin layer of shellac is applied and dried again with a lamp. It is important that the varnish does not get on the cuticle and side rollers, otherwise it will quickly peel off and chip off.

If the hit could not be avoided, then it is necessary to remove the excess gel with a cotton swab and a degreaser.

  • The last layer is the top coat. Before applying the final layer, it is necessary to check that all previous layers lie evenly. In case of defects, you need to use a soft buff. Apply the product with a synthetic brush, and then be sure to dry it in a lamp for at least 3 minutes.
  • You can complete the manicure with a pleasant procedure for applying a cuticle product.

Strengthening natural nails is definitely best done with biogel. This material is safe and odorless. It can be used even by expectant or nursing mothers. Biogel can be single- or three-phase, like gel polish. The application technique is completely the same as when using a conventional gel.

You can also strengthen with acrylic. The powder is applied as a base coat using a special brush. Then it must be thoroughly dried with a lamp.

How to withdraw?

Perhaps the most difficult thing when using gel polish is the process of removing it from the plates. This is done using one of several methods:

  • remover;
  • napkin wrappers;
  • mechanically.

If the first method is chosen, then removers should be carefully selected. In no case should you use funds from unknown brands. If everything is in order with the quality, then the gel polish will be removed easily, while the plates and cuticles will not become overdried.

Also, before the procedure, you should prepare cotton wool, foil, a file for grinding and preferably an orange stick. The whole procedure consists of three stages.

  • Removal of the protective layer by grinding with a nail file. This is necessary so that the gel polish dissolves better and faster. As for the lower layers, it is better not to touch them with a nail file. However, if there is decor, it is better to remove it.
  • Next, wrap your nails in foil. Before that, a cotton swab moistened with a remover is applied to the plates. The procedure time is from 10 to 20 minutes. The foil is necessary for the remover to work faster.
  • At the last stage, the foil is removed, previously scrolling in different directions. Then you need to remove the cracked gel polish. If there are leftovers, then they are removed with an orange stick. In the event that everything is done carefully, the nail plates will not be injured.

Of course, the most convenient, but at the same time expensive way to remove gel polish are branded wraps.

Their main advantage is that they are very easy to use.

First of all, the fixing layer is cut off so that the remover can better cope with its task. Next, the wrapper is taken and used according to the instructions attached to it. The wrapper is then removed. If traces of gel polish remain, then they are removed with an orange stick.

Professionals strongly do not recommend removing gel polish at home mechanically. Rough files and cutters in inept hands can greatly damage nails. Therefore, in this case, it is better to entrust your pens to masters with extensive experience.
