Healthy oatmeal for the body or a universal beauty product? Oatmeal peelings for facial skin Oatmeal facial scrub.

With oatmeal on hand, it's a crime to have unkempt skin. This cereal has everything to give it a healthy, blooming appearance.

Just choose a recipe for yourself and don’t be lazy to systematically resort to it.

Which is better: grain, flakes or rolled oats?

Most of the beneficial properties are stored in unrefined grains.

In addition to vitamins and microelements, this product contains hard shells.

Even in a thoroughly crushed state, they are a source of a large amount of fibers, which, when in contact with the skin as part of an oatmeal facial scrub, will perfectly polish it, absorb secreted sebum, and enrich the epidermis with powerful antioxidants.

If you couldn’t find portions of grain or you don’t have anything to grind them into flour, then you shouldn’t be upset. There's plenty of good stuff in the cereal to get an effective mask for cleansing your skin.

Having undergone rigorous processing at the factory, they are almost ready for use either for food or for cosmetic purposes. But it’s better to grind them so that the cleansing of the epidermis is more thorough and uniform.

Action of the product

The oat component is useful for several reasons:

  1. The softened, shredded fibers have no sharp edges, making it suitable for all skin types.
  2. Cleansed, heated skin immediately receives all the beneficial components found in the cereal.
  3. Turns even chapped, rough areas into “baby heels”.

Hypoallergenicity, natural composition, and reasonable price of the product allow you to achieve stunning results with systematic care.

Knowing this, you can look great even without the funds for expensive salons. All that is required is self-love, discipline, the right recipes.

Efficiency

For normal skin types, oats are beneficial:

  1. The ability to relax muscles thanks to oxalic acid and B vitamins.
  2. Potassium reserves, which provide sufficient tissue hydration.
  3. The presence of rare selenium, which stimulates regeneration processes, extends the period of time when the skin looks excellent.

Oats are beneficial for sensitive, dry skin:

  1. Neutrality (masks with oats help to provide high-quality care in conditions where other means are unavailable due to a violent reaction upon contact).
  2. Available retinol, which can calm inflammatory processes.
  3. The absence of coarse fibers that can injure the sensitive epidermis.

Oatmeal cleansing is beneficial for oily skin:

  1. The presence of zinc, which stabilizes the process of fat production.
  2. Huge absorbent capacity of dense fiber-like components.
  3. Malic and nicotinic acids, which facilitate the dissolution of sebaceous reserves.

    It is known that the softening base of the scrub contains natural ingredients rich in all the necessary nutrients to nourish and moisturize the skin. But oatmeal itself contains a large amount of useful vitamins, minerals, trace elements and other substances that improve the condition of the skin;

    Oatmeal contains folic acid and vitamins from group B (B1, B2, B3, B6, B9), which help restore the protective water-lipid barrier and accelerate skin regeneration;

    Abrasive scrub particles delicately exfoliate the stratum corneum. But oatmeal has another very useful property for cleansing the skin - this natural absorbent literally pulls out dirt and remnants of sebaceous gland secretion from the pores. Oatmeal goes well with a variety of natural ingredients and you can definitely choose a recipe with which you can quickly prepare a scrub at home from available products. Oatmeal, together with all the components of the scrub, has a complex effect on all layers of the skin, improving its condition and protective functions.

    ♦ TIPS FOR PREPARING AND USING OATMEAL SCRUB

    ➊ It is advisable to use the scrub in the evening before bed. In any case, it is not advisable to go outside earlier than 2 hours after the procedure, since the protective water-lipid layer after treatment with abrasive particles does not have time to quickly recover and exposure to ultraviolet rays on the skin during this period is unsafe;

    ➋ The scrub is applied to clean skin of the face and neck. Before the procedure, carefully remove makeup and accumulated dirt from your face using a foaming gel, milk or foam. Then you need to rinse your face with soft, settled water (the best options: mineral water, melt water or spring water) at room temperature;

    ➌ It is useful to expand the pores with hot compresses or a water bath before using the scrub. A water bath can be made from a decoction of medicinal herbs (chamomile, sage, mint) - just hold your face over a pan of steam from boiling water for a few minutes. By this time, the scrub should already be prepared according to the chosen recipe. If you have dry or aging skin, then it is advisable to add oatmeal to milk, and if you have oily or combination skin, then add it to clean water (unless the recipe calls for the use of other liquid ingredients);

    ➍ so, apply the prepared scrub to the face and begin to massage with fingertips from the bridge of the nose along the eyebrow arches to the temples, then to the hairline, from the middle of the face to the ears. We especially carefully massage the nose, chin, forehead, where there are many keratinized epithelial scales. Additionally, apply the scrub to your neck and décolleté. It is enough to massage the skin for 3-4 minutes. After this, you can leave the product on the skin as a nourishing mask, and after 10-15 minutes, rinse everything thoroughly with clean warm water. After washing your face, do not wipe it, but gently pat it dry with a soft towel;

    ➎ All that remains is to apply your evening cream with moisturizing, skin-soothing properties to the skin of the face, neck, and décolleté. In adulthood, it is useful to alternate the use of scrub masks with anti-aging and (if required) skin whitening products from pigment spots. Oatmeal scrub is considered a gentle exfoliant, but it is not advisable to use it more than once a week for dry skin and more than twice a week for oily or combination skin.

    The skin of the body, just like the skin of the face, requires gentle care, care and attention. For this purpose, manufacturers of cosmetic products produce all kinds of gels, creams, scrubs, and lotions. All this can be seen in any store or salon. Unfortunately, the composition of these products very often leaves much to be desired.

    Chemical additives create only the illusion of a feeling of smoothness and silkiness, without carrying anything useful; rather, on the contrary, destroying the protective function of the skin. Not everyone can afford good quality cosmetics.

    In any case, you can always use folk beauty recipes. After all, somehow our great-grandmothers managed to look beautiful for our great-grandfathers, without going to cosmetics stores. Why are we worse?

    Oatmeal for the body: beneficial properties

    Among the inexpensive but high-quality products, one can highlight such as oatmeal. Regular flakes are already good on their own, but with the addition of some additional ingredients they will help make your skin truly irresistible.

    What are the benefits of scrub and other oatmeal products for the body?

    It’s worth noting right away that oatmeal can be used not only for the body, but also for the face and hair. It is so soft but effective that its use will not harm, but will only improve the condition of any skin type.

    Indeed, this is a universal product, suitable for both young girls with combination skin type and older ladies who no longer have enough elasticity.

    In addition, it removes toxins well, which, in turn, allows us to stay young longer.

    If you have at least a glass of regular oatmeal in your cupboard, you can consider your home spa open!

    Oatmeal scrub recipes

    What recipes are there for scrubs made from oatmeal? However, why only scrubs? These are also gels with a soft peeling effect, body masks or wash-off lotions.

    Remember that any of the above products has only a one-day shelf life, so it is not recommended to prepare, say, the same lotion for future use. The exception is the creation of a dry mixture.

    To prepare, you will need to prepare the following things and tools:

    • a comfortable, cute bowl that would please the eye;
    • wooden spatula for stirring;
    • measuring cup and tablespoon;
    • towel;
    • clean diaper for wrapping;
    • coffee grinder

    Recipe No. 1 - universal body scrub made from oatmeal.

    To prepare this scrub, take half a cup of oatmeal and any essential oil of your choice. As a matter of fact, the last component is added for fragrance, so if you don’t have the treasured small bottle, you can do without it.

    Preparing this product does not require any special skills; just pour hot water over the oatmeal and add a couple of drops of oil. As soon as the mixture has cooled, thoroughly wipe your body with the resulting scrub using massage movements. After the procedure, the skin will become soft and smooth. This scrub is also a facial peeling.

    This type of scrub is quite gentle and soft, so it is quite suitable for sensitive skin. If you want to make the scrub harsh, then the following recipe will suit you better.

    Recipe No. 2 - oatmeal scrub with ground coffee

    Take one third cup of oatmeal and one tablespoon of ground coffee. The coarser the grind, the harsher the product will be. Add coffee to the cereal, pour hot water over everything. After cooling, the product can be applied to the body with massage movements. It is not recommended to add essential oil here, since coffee itself gives a wonderful aroma.

    Recipe No. 3 - oat wrap.

    Oatmeal wrap. For this procedure you will need to prepare half a glass of oatmeal, two tablespoons of honey and two tablespoons of sour cream. Oatmeal can be easily prepared using a coffee grinder or purchased ready-made in the store. As a last resort, you can just take small flakes.

    Brew the flakes into a thick porridge, add honey and sour cream to it, mix thoroughly and apply to problem areas. Wrap the top with cling film or a clean diaper and leave for an hour. Rinse off with warm water. The result will surprise you: the skin will become very soft and silky, elasticity and smoothness will appear.

    Of course, cellulite, if it exists, will not disappear, because for this one wrap, even a professional one, is not enough. However, with regular use "Orange peel" may smooth out.

    It is worth noting that this mixture can also be used as a face mask. The result after it is amazing. The benefits of sour cream and honey in cosmetology are known to everyone.

    Recipe No. 4 - oatmeal cleansing gel for the body.

    Attention! This home remedy, like the previous one, can also be used as a face wash.

    You will need:

    • 1 glass of oatmeal;
    • 1 tablespoon of medicinal herbs
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil;
    • a piece of gauze.

    Brew the herbs and pour the hot brew generously over the cereal. As soon as the porridge swells, strain it through gauze folded several times. Finally add olive oil. The resulting sticky liquid will be your homemade body gel.

    It cleanses very gently, without irritating even the most sensitive skin, while medicinal herbs disinfect and protect. That is why this gel option is suitable for the face.

    Advice! If you have pimples on your body and face, add two drops of tea tree oil or a teaspoon of aloe juice to the product.

    Constantly using oatmeal on your body and face will make your skin velvety like a baby's. In addition, after a while you will notice how fine wrinkles have smoothed out, rashes and irritations have disappeared, the skin has brightened and acquired a uniform color.
