Chemical composition and beneficial properties

You can be convinced of the usefulness of curdled milk by familiarizing yourself with its chemical composition. Which includes:

  1. Lactic acid bacteria. They occupy a leading position in this product. They are able to normalize the functioning of the subcutaneous glands, normalize water balance at the cellular level, strengthen follicles, eliminate dandruff and seborrhea, and accelerate the healing of microcracks.
  2. Protein. Restores the structure of damaged hair from the inside.
  3. Folic acid (vitamin B9). Provides hair protection from external factors (ultraviolet radiation, poor-quality water, temperature changes and others). Serves as a prevention of fungal diseases of the scalp.
  4. Niacin (vitamin PP or B3). Prevents premature graying, provides shine to hair, adds volume, and stimulates dormant follicles to grow.
  5. Choline (vitamin B4). Normalizes the intensity of sebum production by the subcutaneous glands.
  6. Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). Gives natural shine to colored hair, makes it soft, and prevents drying.
  7. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C). In combination with vitamin B5, they stimulate additional collagen production, give hair elasticity, and strengthen it.
  8. Potassium. The element compacts and strengthens cell membranes, helps retain the required amount of moisture in the hair structure. Prevents hair from drying out, splitting and stiffness. It is thanks to the presence of potassium in the composition of curdled milk that it is recommended for owners of very dry, burned and damaged hair.
  9. Calcium. Participates in the formation of the hair shaft, strengthens follicles, prevents skin peeling and excessive flaking. Stimulates metabolic processes, ensures moisture retention, and covers “protruding” hair scales.

Acting in combination, lactic acid, protein and vitamins protect hair from dust particles penetrating into its structure.

To get the maximum benefit, you need to use the composition correctly.

Curdled milk for hair: chemical composition and properties

To understand how valuable curdled milk can be, it is enough to study the chemical list of the product.

  1. Lactic acid bacteria occupy a leading position among the entire list of useful elements. They are responsible for normalizing the activity of the sebaceous glands, which produce too much sebum. Bacteria normalize the water balance, acting at the cellular level. The substances also strengthen the hair from the roots, leaving the follicles in their places. It is due to this that the elimination of dandruff, the treatment of microcracks, and the fight against seborrhea are achieved.
  2. Vitamin B9, or folic acid, coats the strands with a protective sheath that prevents sea salt, ultraviolet rays, ammonia and other harmful components from penetrating the hair shaft. Vitamin B9 has a preventive effect in the fight against scalp fungus.
  3. Potassium - strengthens and thickens cell membranes, helps them retain moisture in the hair core. The main purpose of the element is to prevent stiffness, dryness, and sectioning. That is why yogurt is useful for girls with lifeless strands damaged by thermal devices.
  4. Vitamin PP, or vitamin B3 (niacin), prevents premature graying and adds shine to hair by maintaining pigmentation. Niacin lifts strands at the root part and awakens dormant follicles. After a month of using yogurt, a noticeable “fluff” appears on the head (new hair grows).
  5. Calcium - forms the structure of the hair, strengthening it from the inside. Thanks to the useful element, the follicles remain in their places, and hair loss and flaking of the scalp are prevented. Calcium activates all metabolic processes, retains moisture and covers scales (relevant for split ends).
  6. Vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, gives natural and colored hair shine and combats stiffness and dryness. In combination with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), the element promotes additional production of collagen fibers, making strands elastic and strong.
  7. Lactic acid, choline and protein - the listed enzymes prevent dust microparticles from penetrating into the hair. Choline is responsible for the moderate production of subcutaneous sebum, protein restores the structure of depleted hair.

The indicated list of useful elements is not the entire precious chemical composition of curdled milk. However, we can already understand that fermented milk products are a real salvation from many troubles.

Simple recipes for curdled milk products

To nourish curls with egg

Heat 200 ml of fermented milk product and combine it with the beaten egg. Apply the mixture to the entire length of the strands, including the roots, and insulate your head with film. After an hour, wash off the mixture with shampoo. By repeating this procedure 8-10 times a month, you can significantly strengthen and thicken your hair, which will make your curls truly thick and shiny. This recipe is also recommended for moisturizing dry hair.

Wrap for dry, weakened strands

Rub 200 ml of curdled milk at room temperature thoroughly into the roots of the hair and distribute throughout the hairstyle. Wrap your head in a plastic cap and a terry towel. Leave the product on for 6 or more hours. This hair treatment is best done when you are getting ready for bed. In the morning, wash your hair well with shampoo.

The wrap has a long-lasting effect, which allows the active components of curdled milk to penetrate the hair and saturate it with vitamins and minerals. One wrap session per week is enough. The result of the procedure is real treatment and restoration of porous, weakened, dull, dry curls.

To eliminate fat content with salt

In a glass of heated yogurt, dissolve a couple of tablespoons of table salt and a couple of drops of cedar oil and tea tree oil. Essential oils should also be heated in a water bath, but only a little, as hot oil becomes absolutely useless.

Generously lubricate hair from roots to ends. Leave the mask for an hour to absorb, then wash it thoroughly with shampoo and warm water. This procedure reduces the greasy shine of oily hair and normalizes the production of subcutaneous sebum.

Moisturizing with honey

Warm up a glass of fermented milk product and combine it with warm natural honey in a volume of 3 tbsp. Be careful when heating honey, as at temperatures above 50 degrees it loses its healing properties. Treat your hair and scalp with the mixture, cover your head with a towel and leave for an hour. After the specified time, rinse the strands with shampoo. This mask is designed to nourish, moisturize and shine dry, uneven hair.

Hair masks with curdled milk are a simple but extremely effective way to improve the health of your curls. Using one fermented milk product without additives at least once a week will already give the first results: the hair will acquire a natural shine, become stronger, softer, and healthier.
