DIY roses from satin ribbons, they will need:

  • ribbons (desired color),
  • scissors,
  • needle with thread.

It is better to take a ribbon at least a meter long, the splendor of the flower depends on the length

Progress:

  1. Fold the corner of the ribbon inward and hem it with one or two stitches.
  2. Then the tape is rolled up, and the emerging edges need to be corrected.
  3. After several turns, secure the base of the flower with a thread.
  4. Then the tape is bent at an angle and wraps petals around the bud.
  5. When the tape runs out, its end is secured with thread.
  6. The satin rose is ready.

You can use a ready-made rose attach to a safety pin or another fastening for a hairpin: you will get a brooch or decoration for a hat. If you make a lot of these roses, you can make a beautiful bouquet out of them.

A simple and good gift for mom or grandma - figure eight from satin. Even a child can make such a craft.

To do this, you need to cut out a figure eight from thick cardboard, the inner circles need to be trimmed. After this, the workpiece is wrapped in satin ribbons of any color and secured with glue. The craft can be decorated with beads, flowers and other decorations.

Also gaining popularity Kanzashi technique – Japanese art making flowers from pieces of fabric. Kanzashi allows you to make amazing craft flowers, which can then be used as decorations.

Master class on kanzashi technique: how to make flower petals

In order to make jewelry using this technique, you will need:

  • satin flaps,
  • scissors,
  • glue gun,
  • lighter, tweezers,
  • soldering iron,
  • needle with thread.

Kanzashi is based on the fact that petals are made from satin and then they are collected into a flower or they can be used to cover a box. There are quite a few types of satin petals; let’s focus on the most commonly used, sharp one.

For such a petal you need squares of satin fabric.

  1. The cut edge is singed with a lighter so that no threads stick out.
  2. The square is then folded in half diagonally and then in half again (this can be done with a soldering iron to secure the fabric). For convenience, it is better to hold the tissue with tweezers.
  3. The resulting small triangle is sewn together at the edges and a sharp petal is obtained. Such petals can be made double or triple, combining pieces of satin of different colors.

For any kanzashi craft you will need a sufficient number of satin petals

After petal blanks ready, you can start making the main craft.

For the flower, the petals are folded in a circle and glued to each other with glue. A second smaller circle is layered on top of the first circle and so on until the flower is ready. You can also sew a button or bead into the center of the flower. You can glue a pin to the bottom of the craft for a hairpin.

Using the Kanzashi technique you can make almost any flowers: roses, peonies, asters, lilies, poppies and so on.

DIY gifts from ribbons for March 8th for home

From satin ribbons you can make an original pillowcase for a pillow.

It will require:

  • pillow (you can buy it in the store),
  • satin ribbons,
  • pins, fabric for lining.

How to do:

  1. First you need to prepare the work surface, this is good for foam rubber.
  2. The lining fabric is placed on top of it. Then the formation of the pattern begins.
  3. The ribbons are applied to the top side in even rows and secured with pins.
  4. Then they are intertwined with other ribbons to form a pattern. The excess ends of the ribbons need to be trimmed.
  5. To prevent the fabric from unraveling, each row should be secured with pins.
  6. The finished design is sewn to the lining either by hand or using a sewing machine. The pillow is ready.

Before starting work, all tapes must be ironed so that they are even.

Atlas allows you to make magical crafts with your own hands; its bright color and delicate texture will give a homemade gift a unique charm and grace.

Figure eight magnet in kanzashi style

International Women's Day is a very special holiday, on which every representative of the fair sex expects surprises and gifts. How to surprise the young ladies?

As an option, you can make an original craft in the kanzashi style with your own hands for March 8th. Definitely, such a gift will look unusual and will appeal to the person for whom it is intended.

For production we will need:

    satin ribbon 0.6 cm wide. for winding the figure eight, as well as a satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide for making flowers;

    cardboard;

    glue gun;

    candle for singeing the ribbon;

    scissors.

Cut out of cardboard, any size can be made

Now we glue the tape 0.6 cm. Here you need to decide: if you want to hang the figure eight in the future, then you need to immediately make a loop; If you are making a magnet, then it is not necessary to make a loop.

First we wrap the top part of the figure eight, and then the bottom.

This is what happened.

Now we need to make the flowers. To do this, take ribbons 2.5 cm wide and cut into squares. For each flower there are 8 squares.

Fold it as follows. I took it from the Internet, since I couldn’t make it and take pictures myself.

Fold the square diagonally.

Fold the triangle in the middle

Again

We cut off the ends and singe them over a candle, fastening the cut of the petal

We cut off the tip from below and also scorch it over the candle.

This is what happened

Now we collect flowers on a thread. This is what happened

Now we make leaves for the greens. To do this, we also take a tape 2.5 cm wide. Cut it into 5 cm lengths. About 7-8 pieces and these strips need to be cut along the lines.

Hello, dear readers! The last month of winter has arrived - February, it is short, so it will fly by very quickly, and then March 8 is just around the corner. Therefore, today I will show you 8 (eight) kanzashi for March 8 with step-by-step photos and partly with video. This figure eight can be an excellent handmade gift or simply decorate your home. I tried mine on with the bottom ring on a light switch, it looks very cool

Last year I showed how to make a gift for March 8th with your own hands - it was in a wicker vase. You can look at this as an option for a gift. I was thinking that in this style you can decorate any number, and even for a birthday and hang it in the birthday boy’s room. Just choose a large format and decorate it, it will look very cool. And in order to make such an eight kanzashi we will need the following materials:

  • Thick cardboard
  • Compass (or number 8 template)
  • Satin ribbon 1.2 cm wide and 5 m long (this is an eight according to my measurements)
  • Pink and white satin ribbon 5 cm wide
  • Green satin ribbon 5 cm wide
  • Tychiki (I have gray ones)
  • Glue gun
  • Tweezers
  • Scissors
  • Candle
  • Soldering iron
  • Wooden ladybug for decoration
  • Glass panel or small piece of glass
  • Metal or wooden ruler (plastic is not allowed, it will melt)

8 (eight) kanzashi on March 8

So, first of all, we need to draw a figure eight on cardboard, we can do this in two ways:

  1. Using a compass (I hope none of you forgot how to use it)
  2. And the second way is simpler and faster, print a template from the Internet, which I successfully did.

I found cardboard at work, they just recently brought us some office supplies in a box, and the box itself served me well, it’s good that I didn’t throw it away right away, look at what kind of things you can make from ordinary cardboard boxes. I took cardboard from the same box when creating it. I cut the piece of cardboard I needed from the box, it was thick enough, just what I needed. I found a suitable figure eight template, printed it on plain paper and cut it out with scissors. All that remains is to transfer the template to cardboard and cut out the number 8 I need from the cardboard.

I’ll give the dimensions of my figures, maybe they will also be useful to someone, for example, those who will draw with a compass; not everyone has the opportunity to print ready-made templates. The height of the figure eight is 27 cm, the width of the small upper ring is 11.5 cm, the width of the lower large ring is 16 cm, the width of the number itself is 2.5 cm. All markings can be seen in the photo, if anyone does not understand what we are talking about.

Now we need a satin ribbon 1.2 cm wide. Of course, you can take a smaller width or a larger one; it was convenient for me to work with just such a ribbon. I bought it 5 meters and at first I thought it would be a lot, but in the end it turned out that it wasn’t even enough, but this can be fixed. The color I took was almost white with a slight pinkish tint, choose it to your taste. We need to wrap our cardboard figure with this tape.

You need to start winding from the top of the figure eight, we wind the tape with the front shiny side, first we use hot glue to secure the tape, and we begin to wind it tightly, slightly overlapping, from time to time I coated the tape on the back side with hot glue so that it would stick better, but this not every row, but after about five strips of tape.

In this way you need to wrap the entire number. At the very end, I was missing a little ribbon, but I covered this part with flowers and leaves, I didn’t bother buying a small piece, so even though I thought that I would even have some ribbon left, it turned out the other way around. Conclusion - it's better to buy more.

Now we need to decorate our number 8. There are so many options for decorations that there is always plenty to choose from, absolutely any flowers can be used, you can make a composition of flowers and berries, as in this one, you can decorate only with flowers, without leaves, the field for imagination is inexhaustible.

I decided to try to decorate with a flower, which I haven’t tried to do yet, it’s very simple, but it looks delicate and beautiful.

How to make an inverted kanzashi petal

We take a pink ribbon 5 cm wide, cut it into squares 5 by 5 cm and fold it as usual to make a sharp petal. First into a triangle, then again into a triangle and cut the lower part perpendicular to the edge of the petal by a few millimeters, grab it with tweezers, bring it to the candle and solder the cut edge. Carefully turn the petal inward. For one flower we need 5 of these inverted petals.

Inverted kanzashi petal video

Kanzashi flower made of inverted petals

We assemble the flower using hot glue, grease the side of the petal and apply the next petal. For one flower we will need 5 inverted kanzashi petals. We bend the stamens in half, twist the bottom, grease it with hot glue and insert it into the middle of the assembled flower. In total, I made three flowers using this technology, two pink and one white.

An eight is just enough for decoration. Flowers can be made from different colors of ribbon and change its size if you want to get a smaller flower. In addition to the blossoming flowers, I made white and pink buds. Making them is very simple; to do this, you just need to glue two inverted kanzashi petals together.

In the photo you can already see the flower buds glued to green leaves, I will show you how to make them below. I decided to make green leaves for the flowers, without them our craft for March 8 would not have looked so bright and fresh.

How to make green kanzashi leaves for flowers

To create green kanzashi leaves we need a soldering iron, I bought it in a store where everything costs 50 rubles, it heats up perfectly and does everything as it should. You will also need a glass board, I didn’t have one, I asked my husband to find me a small piece of glass. He found it and since it was dangerous to just work with it, since the edges were raw, so we wrapped the edges with tape and it turned out to be an excellent glass panel. We will make two types of green leaves. We take a green ribbon 5 cm wide, cut it into pieces of 5 by 10 cm. And from one such piece we will get two green leaves.

We fold the piece in half with the front side inward, at this stage we need a ruler, you can use a metal or wooden one, a plastic one will not work, because the soldering iron will melt it. We apply the ruler diagonally, look at the photos and videos and carefully draw it with a soldering iron to get a part, on the other side as well apply a ruler and cut off the leaf with a soldering iron, from the resulting two parts we form a leaf by collecting the lower part into an accordion, cut off the lower part with scissors, grab it with tweezers and solder it on a candle, these details are also in the video tutorial.

Video on how to make green leaves

Green leaves made of satin ribbon

We will do the second version of green leaves almost the same, we will just change the direction of the soldering iron cut. We also cut pieces of tape 5 by 10 cm, fold them in half and use a ruler to measure the required width of the leaf and cut it with a soldering iron.

Here, no additional actions are required after cutting with a soldering iron, the leaf will be ready immediately, you just need to unfold it. It was in these leaves that I glued the buds that you saw in the photo above. I won’t tell you exactly the number of leaves, it all depends on your preferences, I needed to cover the place where there was not enough satin ribbon when wrapping the figure eight, that’s where I came from.

The most pleasant thing is, of course, decorating the eight kanzashi with ready-made flowers, buds and green leaves from a satin ribbon. I placed the flowers at the junction of the two number circles, so I covered my errors from the missing tape. Then I glued leaves with buds and just green leaves. I decided to decorate the top with two buds and green leaves, I glued a ladybug, I think it’s in the right place. On the reverse side you can glue a piece of satin ribbon, on which you can then hang this number on the wall. You can certainly decorate the figure eight, it will be gorgeous, I’m sure.

I think this is a nice DIY gift for March 8th, and there is the number 8, and there are flowers, and a piece of your soul is included - the complete set. I hope someone will like this idea and you will also make your own figure eight, you can decorate it in different ways and use different flowers, it will still be beautiful and festive!

With respect and love, Elena Kurbatova.

Eight kanzansha pink, decorated with mother-of-pearl half-beads and a bright bouquet of flowers - this is a symbol of tenderness, spring mood and, of course, a wonderful and anticipated holiday - International Women's Day. At the beginning of March, Kanzashi craftswomen are in search of creative ideas, because, for sure, they have customers who will ask them to make wonderful gifts. Given eight kanzashi master class Perfect for a spring holiday theme. No woman can resist such a wonderful handmade souvenir. And anyone who studies this step-by-step master class with photos can make such a wonderful souvenir if desired.

What to make the basis for the eight kanzashi from:

from two cardboard circles of different sizes 7 cm and 9 cm hollow inside;

from a soft pink ribbon, the width of which is 1 cm or less, but no more;

of 18 mother-of-pearl half-beads with a diameter of 0.6 cm.

What to use to model a central floral composition:

40 square fragments of red satin ribbon with a side length of 2.5 cm;

7 rectangular fragments of green satin ribbon with side lengths 1.2*8 cm;

10 double-sided stamens of white (or pale pink) color.

How to make an eight kanzashi step by step:

The floral composition consists of 6 buds and one large three-layer flower. Each bud consists of three inverted red petals, glued together, inserted into pointed cups. Stamens and pointed leaves are additional details that will complete the elegant bouquet.

Cut two rings of the indicated sizes for the figure eight base and prepare a pink ribbon. Or choose a ribbon of a different color, but preferably light, for example, white or cream will do.

Make the rings look satiny and delicate by wrapping a ribbon around them. This is a simple but painstaking way to refine cardboard. Don't just glue strips of satin on top of the rings, as the result is unlikely to be neat.

Glue two round pieces. The junction will later be hidden under the buds and flower, so the figure eight will look like a single product.

Prepare special inverted red petals from square cuts with a side of 2.5 cm, as well as sepals. Fold the green ribbon (7 rectangular fragments with parameters 1.2 * 8 cm, which are indicated in the list) in half (be sure to have the front side facing inward). Use a soldering iron or a hot knife blade to cut diagonally. Each strip will make a cup, which must be used for the bud, as well as the second quadrangular part of the petal, which will be used to decorate a large flower. In the red squares, make 2 middle folds, soldering the opposite sides with a lighter. Next, curl a small triangle into a sharp kanzashi petal. After soldering the ends, turn the bottom corner out.

For a large three-tiered flower, 22 petals need to be modeled, and 18 of the same parts will be used for the buds.

Glue 4, 8 and 10 petals together into tiers. Curl a small amount towards the center, and turn the other two outwards.

Model 6 buds, each consisting of three petals. Glue everything into cups with a sharp tip.

Prepare a large flower and red-green buds to decorate the gift.

Start gluing the parts to the figure eight from the small ring, pointing the red protrusions of the buds upward. Insert stamens between the parts. Lightly overlap each subsequent piece on the previous one, and fill all gaps with leaves.

Fill in the middle of the figure.

Glue the green leaves with stamens remaining after processing the tape with a soldering iron to the bottom of the flower.

Gather the stamens into a bunch and bend them in the center.

Glue the piece to the bottom ring to complete the bouquet.

The resulting eight kanzashi is an independent gift; you can make it in the form of a refrigerator magnet.

The accessory on a gift box will also look very nice. Such a product is always in demand and relevant, because International Women's Day is a long-awaited spring holiday.

Good luck with your creativity!

First we need cardboard (any box will do)

Number 8 pattern

Cut out two 8 from cardboard

Wrap with white ribbon (width 2 cm)

The first side will be made of chrysanthemum flowers (we took a red ribbon 2 cm wide)
- take 5 cm of ribbon, fold it in half, cut off a corner and solder it using a lighter.

We form a petal (we bend the edges to the front side and solder)

We make about 30 petals, cut out a circle with a diameter of 2.5 from cardboard and glue the petals in a circle.

Then fill in the second and third circles

Glue a bead in the middle and form our first chrysanthemum at 8

In the same way we make two more chrysanthemums (we only cut off the length of the ribbon 3 cm, it will be smaller in size)

And glue them to 8

And glue the third chrysanthemum

Now we make leaves (take a green ribbon 2 cm wide)
Cut to length 8cm, fold in half right sides together

Cut at this angle

Burn with a lighter

Turn it inside out

This is what the reverse side looks like

From the segments that remain from the leaf we make another small leaf

Connect and singe

Unfold, round the edges and singe

These are the leaves we got:

Let's create a composition. The first side is ready!
Large and beautiful bouquet of chrysanthemums.
You can give exclusively to everyone!
A lush cap of petals,
These flowers have a long stem.
The color may be soft purple,
Yellow, lilac and snow-white.

Let's start decorating the second side (take ribbons 5 cm wide and cut into squares)
Making inverted sharp petals
We fold our favorite square in half:

In half again: And in half again, forming a narrow petal:

Trim the base of the petal a little, either evenly or at an angle:

Holding the base with tweezers, singe, simultaneously soldering both edges of the petal:

Turn out. The petal is ready.

Prepare 25-30 petals

We begin to form a flower

It turns out this is a flower

Let's complement it with tulip flowers (we form tulips from leaves that we know how to make and sharp petals by gluing them three together)

Let's create a composition. The second side is ready!
Proud appearance and strict figure -
This is a sunny tulip.
He settled in a flowerbed
And in the spring it blossomed.

For my mother's favorite holiday.
How the carpet is full of flowers
Flowerbed right under the window.
I'll bring the bouquet to the house.

Bright red tulips
My mother loves it very much.
Mom will laugh loudly
The bright sun will smile.
