How to style hair after bio-perm: description of styling products and styling methods. Bio-curling hair at home: technique

Any experiments with hair are always a balance of pros and cons. The advantages of bio-waved hair are obvious: healthy appearance of curls, gentle effect on their structure, and many others. Despite a lot of advantages, such long-term styling is not suitable for all girls. We will help you understand the features and types of the procedure, tell you in detail how to perform it at home, teach you how to properly care for curled hair and make various hairstyles out of it.

Description of the procedure

Biochemical or biological perm is a relative innovation in the world of beauty that has quickly gained popularity. For beautiful curls, voluminous waves or curly strands, hairdressers use special preparations that cause minimal damage to the hair. The effect is reminiscent of chemistry, but at the same time the hair remains healthier.

This procedure also has similarities with carving. True, in the second case, the emphasis is on additional volume, while bioperming is curls of any shape and elasticity.

What curlers and compositions are used

Before choosing curlers, answer yourself a few questions:

  • what kind of curls do you want to get - voluminous or small;
  • what suits your hair, taking into account its length and thickness;
  • how the new hairstyle will match with your appearance.

Styling and care

To ensure that your curls always look like you just left the salon, you will have to try a little. Helpers in this matter will be various styling products (gel, mousse, cream), as well as hairdressing tools - a hair dryer with a diffuser, curlers.

You can start styling 2-5 days after bio-perm. During this time, the curls will finally take shape, become fixed and will be ready for further experiments within reason. We will help you choose a styling product for artificially curled curls and clearly explain how to beautifully style your curls for a casual or formal hairstyle.

Despite the gentle effect of biowave, Hairdressers advise carrying out the procedure no more than 2 times a year. The rest of your time should be devoted to careful hair care. It consists of using special cosmetics for weakened, damaged strands, drying and combing curly hair according to all the rules.

Use a wide-toothed comb, and when drying with a hairdryer, choose cold air. Use nourishing, restorative masks and natural oils. We have collected other detailed recommendations for hair care after bio-perm, thanks to which your curls will always be healthy and beautiful.

The modern hairdressing market is replete with compounds for gentle, long-term styling. When choosing the right one, focus on the type of hair you have and the structure of your hair shafts. After performing a bio-perm in the salon or at home, do not waste time on proper care and styling, then your hair will thank you for your efforts with a beautiful shine and luxurious appearance.

The effect of voluminous curls and playful curls confidently came into fashion after the famous shows at Milan Fashion Week. A cascade of romantic waves replaced perfectly smooth, straightened hair and firmly took the leading position in fashion trends.

Biochemical perm, or bioperm, provides a unique opportunity to get luxurious curls without exposing your hair to aggressive substances. Unlike a perm, the active composition of the bioperm preparation does not contain any chemical ingredients, so it does not have a persistent unpleasant odor, does not “eat up” the hair color, does not deprive it of its natural shine, does not weigh down the hair and lasts as long as standard chemicals - from 3 months to six months.

Advantages of biowave

The main advantage of biochemical perm is the ability to apply it to bleached hair. In addition, biowave also has healing properties, due to which the hair structure is effectively restored. During hair lightening, molecular bonds are broken, and the building material that gives hair vitality and saturates it with active components is washed away under the influence of coloring agents. The bio-perm procedure takes place in two stages: at the first stage, cystine, which is similar in structure to protein, penetrates into the hair, and in the second, the fixative saturates the hair with amino acids similar to the amino acids of human hair.

Bio-curling can be done repeatedly without worrying about the condition of the ends and turning them into a lifeless bun. Also, girls often resort to bioperming to correct the mistakes of standard chemistry.

Another positive factor in favor of bioperm is its soft and natural transition, which makes the border between regrown roots and curls almost invisible. In addition, biostyling provides inorganic opportunities for the creative imagination of clients: you can easily turn your hair into elastic curls, perky small curls or stylish Hollywood waves.

Disadvantages of biowave

Despite the above advantages, biowave still has certain disadvantages:

Compared to perm, the technique of performing bioperm is more complex;
- quite an expensive service;
- curls are more demanding of styling products;
- with the result of a biowave, regardless of whether you liked it or not, you will have to walk for a certain time, because it will be impossible to correct it. To avoid disappointment, curl your curls with curlers or use a tong or curling iron. Having recorded the result, you can make sure which styling suits you, and then proceed with the bioperm.

Biowave at home

In order for bio-perm at home to achieve the desired result, prepare the following materials and tools:

cap;
- preparation for bio-curling. The packaging usually includes a bio-curling agent and a neutralizer. If you purchase them separately, give preference to one manufacturer - do not mix components from different series.
- towel;
- bobbin rods (plastic curlers), the diameter of which you select based on the desired degree of curl. Curls curled with large or medium bobbins look more natural. Keep in mind that as a result of curling with bobbins that are too large, the curl will look like a weak wave;
- two small foam sponges, one of which you will process your hair, the other will apply the neutralizer;
- a bowl for preparing the composition for application;
-gloves;
- ponytail comb for separating and curling strands;
- cape.

Biowave technique

1. Apply a rich cream along the edge of the hair growth line, which will protect the delicate skin of the face from accidental contact with the bio-curling composition.

2. To open the hair cuticles, as well as remove various impurities and styling products accumulated on the hair shaft, wash your hair with deep cleaning shampoo without touching the scalp.

3. Using a comb with a metal tail, divide the head into the following zones: parietal, temporolateral, upper, middle and lower occipital zones.

4. Start curling your hair in the direction of its natural growth, moving from the parietal to the occipital area. Then, remembering to comb the strands well before curling, continue working on the temporolateral zones, and finish it on the parietal.

Gradually, choosing strand by strand, wind wet hair onto bobbins, observing the basic rule - the pitch of the strand should be equal to the diameter of the bobbin, and the thickness of the strand should be equal to the width of its working surface. The degree of humidity of curled hair should be directly proportional to its condition. Also, do not forget to ensure that your hair is evenly moisturized. If your hair starts to dry out while curling, moisten it with a regular spray bottle.

Wrap the ends of your hair with parchment paper to prevent them from kinking. When winding onto bobbins, the tension of the strands should be the same. Excessive loosening of the hair will lead to incorrect positioning of the strand and, as a result, will negatively affect the result of the biowave, and excessive tension can lead not only to deformation of the curl, but also to damage to the hair structure.

The angle of tension of the strand also affects the result of bio-curling. Try to hold the strand at an angle of 90° to the tangent of the head, gradually pulling it away from the axis.

5. Using the applicator, apply the bio-curling preparation, carefully distributing it over the curled strands. Try not to flood the bobbins with it, but also avoid dry areas. To thoroughly moisturize your hair, go through the bobbins several times until the curls are completely saturated with the curling compound.

6. Put a cap on top of the bobbins and leave your hair for 15-25 (depending on the degree of damage to your hair, as well as its structure) for the effect of the bio-curling preparation. In order not to overexpose the composition, check whether the curl is formed correctly. To do this, after 10-15 minutes, carefully unwind one curl from the parietal section. If it is elastic and close to the size of a stickleback, reduce the exposure time of the curling composition; if not, increase the exposure time of the drug. However, periodically, every 5-7 minutes, check the degree of curl of the curls.

7. After the curing time of the bio-curling composition has expired, rinse the strands with warm water without unwinding the sticklebacks.

8. Using a small foam sponge, apply 1/3 of the neutralizer to all hair and leave for 10-15 minutes.

9. At the end of the specified time, carefully remove the bobbins, being careful not to deform the curl. After this, apply the remaining neutralizer to the curls without bobbins. The holding time at the second stage is 5 minutes, not counting the time of applying the composition.

10. Final stage. After time, rinse the neutralizer from your hair, and then wear the conditioner without rinsing it off. Dry your hair.

Refrain from washing your hair in the first 3-4 days after perm;
- use high-quality professional curly hair care products that will not only gently cleanse your hair, but also prevent your curls from becoming heavier;
- regularly and intensively moisturize your hair, alternating the use of restorative masks containing panthenol or keratin with hair conditioner;
- for hair styling, choose foams with a medium degree of fixation, since wax will make curls heavier, and if applied in excess, can give them an untidy appearance;
- use combs and flat combs with wide, sparse teeth that will not destroy the shape of the curls;
- you can proceed to hair coloring (this recommendation applies to both permanent cream dyes and tinted balms) no earlier than 2.5-3 weeks after the procedure;
- do not comb wet curls. This will lead to stretching and damage to the hair. After a bath, you should also not dry your hair intensively with a towel, removing excess moisture. It’s better to gently blot the curls and allow time to dry on their own;
- turn on the hair dryer only in warm or cold drying mode, and for styling use a diffuser attachment with short “fingers”;
- periodically, every 2-2.5 months, cut the ends of your hair. Thus, you will not only remove lifeless split ends, but also save time on subsequent styling;
- some unscrupulous manufacturers add extracts from natural raw materials to ordinary thioglycolic acid and call it bioperm, so be careful about the product that is offered to you;
- It is advisable to take a course of hair restoration and health improvement after bio-perm.

2. You should not resort to bioperming while taking hormonal medications or strong antibiotics, during critical periods, or during pregnancy or lactation. To avoid trouble, postpone curling your hair until a more appropriate moment.

3. Before you start bio-perming, be sure to test for an allergic reaction.

“Beauty is a terrible force!” In search of the best look, girls conduct a lot of experiments on their hair. Owners straighten them, and girls with straight hair tend to curl curls.

In the latter case, many wonder about the possibility of carrying out the perm procedure at home and safely for the hair. The answer is definitely positive; the method of bio-curling hair at home will come to the rescue.

Curling your hair at home is always a risk

The advantages of this choice include the following factors:

  • Change of image. Playful curls will add audacity, sexuality, and attractiveness to your look.
  • Safety of the procedure. The biowave does not injure the hair: there is no burning sensation, the shine, color, etc. are preserved.
  • The result is voluminous and thick curls.
  • Hair oiliness decreases.
  • Constant styling in the morning will be a thing of the past: your hair is ready at any time.

What is biowave? This is an innovative technology in the beauty industry, created to achieve curls. Although it was developed back in 1991 in Italy, its use in work began only recently.

The most significant difference between the procedure and conventional “chemistry” is the preservation of hair strength, shine and health.

The development of the latest technology with the introduction of the main amino acid of hair, cysteine, has made it possible to carry out bio-perms. The action of amino acids is to fill the pores of the hair, which also provides strengthening. The curl thus lasts longer and is of better quality, and the hair looks healthier.

Necessary Requirements

Curls are the dream of many

Any woman can afford a bioperm. Damage or coloring of the hair is not an obstacle to this procedure; on the contrary, the hair will become stronger. An individual approach to each client, the correct choice of curling composition will ensure quality and the desired result.

Also, hair length does not matter. Biowave is suitable for owners of both hair and short hair. The main thing is compliance with all rules and requirements. Carrying out the procedure at home requires assessing the condition of the hair in order to choose the right preparation for bio-curling.

This is an important step, since there are different preparations for each type of hair (dyed, damaged, healthy). It is best to consult a specialist on this issue.

When choosing curlers, you should remember that too large ones are not suitable for bio-curling. It is better to purchase medium or small bobbin curlers, the effect will be amazing.

Contraindications

The composition of bio-perm products includes only natural ingredients, but this does not exclude some contraindications. These include the following:

  • Period of pregnancy, lactation, menstruation. Hormones produced during this time can negatively affect the result of the procedure.
  • The use of hormonal drugs will also be a reason to refuse biowaves, since there is a high risk of allergic reactions.

Tools and materials

The procedure should be entrusted to a specialist

The decision to carry out a biowave procedure at home requires the following tools:

  1. Curling agent.
  2. Bobbin curlers.
  3. Foam sponges (2 pieces).
  4. A cup or other convenient container made of plastic or ceramic.
  5. Rubber gloves.
  6. Plastic comb.
  7. Towels (2 pieces).
  8. Cap and cape.

Step-by-step instruction

Before starting the procedure, it is necessary to determine the presence of an allergy to the drug. The test is carried out as follows: a small amount of curling agent is applied to the skin behind the ear or on the wrist; if there is no redness, then the procedure can begin.

Step one

It is necessary to rinse your hair well with a special shampoo that helps open the hair cuticle. Then you need to lightly dry your hair with a towel and apply a bio-curling preparation. Wind each strand of hair onto a bobbin, the tension should be uniform and strong for proper formation and curls.

For ease of winding, you need to divide your head into several zones: occipital (upper and lower), lateral, parietal, temporal). Wind the bobbins one by one.

Step two

The next step is to apply the curling agent, this must be done carefully on each curled curl. By moisturizing your hair well, you will achieve a positive result. If liquid flows through the bobbin, then there is enough moisture, which indicates the correct application of the composition. Next you need to put on a cap.

15-25 minutes is the time for curling at the first stage. You can see the correct formation of the curl in about 10 minutes. In the parietal zone, you need to unwind one curl and check its proximity to the bobbin curler itself. Reducing the time for curling can be done if the sizes of the curl and bobbin are clearly similar, but if they are different, then the time will be maximum. However, in order not to overexpose your hair, you need to look every five minutes.

Step three

After the exposure period has expired, without unwinding the bobbins, wash your hair. A large volume of water will be required, each bobbin must be washed. The next step is to apply a third of the neutralizer for 10-15 minutes.

Curling your hair at home can cause damage to your hair.

When this time has passed, carefully remove the bobbins, being careful not to break the curls. Then you need to apply the neutralizer to your curls for five minutes.

Step four

The next step will be drying your hair. Before doing this, you need to wash your hair and apply a leave-in conditioner. We complete the procedure by drying the hair, the curl is ready.

Duration and frequency

The result of bio-curling will be beautiful, elastic, vibrant curls. Noticeable volume, tenderness, but at the same time strength of the hair will delight and confirm the correctness of the choice of this procedure.

Over time, the hair will begin to grow, and the roots will retain volume. The advantage of bioperm is the smooth transition from regrown roots to curls, in contrast to the usual "".

How long will it take to get the curls you want? To answer this question, several factors need to be analyzed. Firstly, the level of training of the specialist performing the procedure, and secondly, the characteristics of the hair (type, length, volume and thickness).

The first stage takes the most time – about an hour. If you curl your hair at home, ask a friend for help; curling your hair on your own is quite difficult. In general, the curl will take about four hours.

The preservation time of the bio-curl depends on the shape of the curls: if curls were formed, not waves, then the hairstyle will last 6 months.

If you are satisfied with the effect of the procedure, and after straightening your hair you decide to do it again, you need to know that perming is possible no more than twice a year. Although, if all the instructions and directions were followed correctly, you won’t have to resort to bio-perm often; the curls will last for a long time.

Hair care after the procedure

Hair after perm requires special care

Hair after bio-perm does not need special care. Professional hairdressers recommend their clients to carry out certain care procedures to preserve the beauty of their curls for as long as possible. Such recommendations will not be difficult:

  • After completing the procedure, it is correct not to wash your hair for three to five days and not to dry it with a hairdryer for a week. Therefore, it is best to perm before the weekend or during vacation.
  • Massage brushes are suitable for combing strands. You will also need wooden combs and wide-toothed combs.
  • Washing your hair is an important procedure that requires choosing a shampoo that contains silicone. This product will prevent moisture loss.
  • You should refrain from blow-drying, as it affects the condition of the hair and dries it out. If the need is still present, then purchase a hair dryer with a diffuser.
  • To care for your curls, use rinses, make masks, and use balms. All pre-curling products will be relevant after the procedure. Masks should be enriched with collagen, keratin, and silk proteins. But do not forget that all this can be done after ten days.
  • There are no restrictions on hair coloring, but at least two weeks must pass after curling.
  • If you wish, you can use an iron. After washing your hair, the curls will return to normal.

Thus, the procedure will not be difficult, so every woman can take advantage of this opportunity. If you dream of luxurious curls and want to stand out from the rest, then the choice is clear – bio-perm! Effective bio-perms, suitable for every hair type, are easy to use at home, and they are always available in a large assortment.

This video will introduce you to the nuances of perm at home:

In contact with

Bio-curling hair is a decision that is most often made by the female half who nature has endowed with straight hair. No wonder people say that the forbidden fruit is sweet. It’s the same with hairstyles: if the hair is straight, girls “twist” it, but if it’s curly, on the contrary, they straighten it for hours to achieve the desired straightness.

Fashion tends to change, but the case with biowave is a constant. For many years now, frizz and bouncy curls have been out of fashion. They were, are and will always be relevant.

Let's do a little research. Try focusing your attention for a week on the covers of fashionable glossy magazines. What are you observing? Oddly enough, the variations of curling curls are so varied and numerous that they adorn the title page over and over again. It’s the same story with fashion shows on the catwalks. Most hairstyles are based on curling hair.

Important advice from the editors!

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 97% of shampoos from well-known brands contain substances that poison our body. The main components due to which all the troubles on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain these substances. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

Such widespread popularity is easily explained. A certain charm, light charm and mystery of the image is achieved precisely thanks to the curls, helping to attract male glances.

But if only men knew what lies behind the beauty, shine and chic of hair! A lot of time, effort, a merciless curling iron, rough curlers and curlers, and the worst thing - destructive curling. Stop…

No one argues that beauty requires effort, time, and sacrifice. But why burden yourself and your hair if the problem has long been optimized by specialists from beauty centers together with stylists and chemical technologists. They found the best solution. Hooray! This is a bio-perm of hair.

Have you long dreamed of becoming a “curly girl”, but something stopped you? You are not ready to tediously twist your hair for hours on end using a thermal curling iron, or - even worse! – use curlers to achieve large curly locks?

Hair bio-curling is an innovative curling method that allows you to get a hairstyle that will not lose its original shape for a long time and will not damage the integrity of the hair.

Bio-curling hair or chemicals?

The biowave process today is one of the most popular and widespread procedures in every beauty salon. But let's figure out why the curls remain curly for such a long time? What is the secret of the remedy?

There is no secret, it's simple. Bio-curling hair is simply a gentle procedure.

  1. Its compositions are friendly to both hair and scalp, as they do not contain aggressive chemicals, such as ammonia and thioglycolic acid.
  2. The main active ingredient is cystine. It has similar properties and is an analogue of natural protein - one of the important components of the hair structure.
  3. The biological perm process guarantees the client the preservation of the former naturalness, natural shine and silkiness of the hair.
  4. The effect of the procedure is loyal: the curls look healthy, undamaged and well-groomed.

Scientists have given women the most important thing - the opportunity to always be beautiful while remaining healthy.

Existing types of biowave

The popularity of biowave requires improvement of the process, consistency in achieving results and constant improvement of the composition of the components of the current product. Based on the above criteria, biowaves are classified into three types.

MOSSA perm – transforms, heals, protects

The component composition of the product is carefully optimized for living curls. Parchment based on bamboo extract makes curls strong, protecting them from dullness.

Owners of exquisite and thin strands are advised to choose this type of perm. Damaged hair is no exception.

Advantages:

  • treats;
  • intensively restores;
  • gives the curls the effect of lightness;
  • cares for it carefully.

The beauty formula for this curl belongs to the Italians, who took care of both color preservation and healthy hair structure.

Ideal for those with short hair. The curls after such a curl are small, but well fixed.

Silk proteins: “Silk wave” curl

This type of curling owes its name to real proteins extracted from natural silk in order to ensure the integrity of the hair structure. Proteins constantly take care of the curls throughout the entire period of “wearing the hair.” Celebrities most often resort to this type of perm.

Advantages:

  • the most gentle way;
  • maximum protective and caring effect;
  • curls are soft and smooth;
  • The procedure adds volume to fine hair.

The disadvantage is that the effect is short-lived.

This type of perm is most often resorted to by girls whose hair is weak, lifeless and dull.

Japanese perm – vitamin complex for hair

This is a specially developed lipid-moisturizing complex containing collagen and other various active substances that provide the following “bonuses”:

  • natural moisture of the strands (I retain moisture inside the curls throughout the entire period of curling);
  • natural shine;
  • natural elasticity.

All these processes are regulated naturally thanks to the rich composition of the product - tea tree leaf extract.

This curl is ideal for medium to long hair. Those who have already tried this bioprocedure claim that this is the ideal way to achieve medium-heavy curls.

Let's get acquainted with contraindications

Any, even minor, introduction into natural laws entails various kinds of changes. Even harmless glucose can become a harmful component for a certain category of people. Therefore, when deciding to apply a biological perm to your hair, it is important to know that the process has contraindications.

It is prohibited to perform the procedure if...

  • you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
  • have an allergic intolerance to any components;
  • you are currently in the menstrual phase of your cycle;
  • you have a nervous disorder or a period of stress and anxiety;
  • you take hormones;
  • your hair is too dry or oily, thin and weak.

Chemical and biological perm: looking for differences

The difference between the two types of perm is significant. Judge for yourself.

  1. In terms of the composition of the product, chemical perm is more aggressive than biological perm.
  2. After using a perm, the appearance of the curls deteriorates several times, so the only solution is a haircut. And the bioprocedure is safe, so it can be repeated and repeated.

Five “yes” in favor of bioperm

Several guidelines, after reading which you will determine whether you need or do not need a bioperm.

  • Perm does not spoil the hair: the color, shine, and vitality remain unchanged before and after the procedure.
  • If your hair is thin and you dream of volume, bio-perm is your option.
  • If you want to radically change your image, bio-perm will give the desired effect.
  • If your hair becomes oily quickly, this treatment may also help.
  • If you really don’t have enough time for daily styling, entrust your hair to a specialist to create a permanent hairstyle.

Before deciding on the procedure, you carefully study all the information on this issue. The main thing you care about is whether your hairstyle is compatible with the curling process and what the result will be after.

Biowave has no style restrictions.

  • It can be done both for the entire length and for the ends. Bangs are no exception.
  • It can be in the form of sharp curls, large falling curls. A flowing vertical curl or uniform curls with root volume is done.
  • If your hair is of medium length, then curls on strands cut in a cascade look ideal.
  • If your hair is short, then curls that fly to the sides become interesting. They subtly emphasize the shape of the face and its color.
  • Bioperm can always be supplemented with local procedures, so the result can be stunning: a combination of smooth, raised roots and curly ends.

Modern biological perm: what is the validity period?

It is unlikely that it will be possible to answer the question clearly and unambiguously. It's all about individual characteristics. Not every hair will “take on” curls the way the owner would like. But there is a boundary limit that determines the maximum and minimum service life of the biowave. The starting point is three months, and the final and maximum permissible point is ten months.

Bioperm is completed: what rules to follow next?

The bio-perm was successful, and all that’s left to do is to properly maintain the new hairstyle and properly care for the hair so that it does not lose its attractiveness, volume and naturalness.

However, a number of problems may arise:

  • the hair has grown back and a “root effect” has appeared;
  • hair volume becomes uneven;
  • hair stops looking natural.

None of this will happen if you try to follow the following tips.

  1. You should use a hair dryer to dry your curls. Washing your hair is allowed only on the third day after the procedure.
  2. If you decide to dye your hair, you can do this no earlier than 14 days after curling.
  3. It is advisable to “nourish” the curls with masks, balms and lotions rich in keratin, collagen and silk proteins. Any product enriched with collagen is your goal.
  4. It is recommended to wash curled hair using products containing silicone, which will reliably protect them from moisture loss.
  5. When combing, do not use a massage brush, but use either your fingers or a wide-toothed comb.
  6. It is advisable to use a diffuser for gentle drying, which will not only dry, but also not straighten.

Biowave at home

To ensure a stunning effect, it is advisable to entrust this procedure to specialists. This way you will eliminate mistakes and enjoy the procedure while relaxing in a comfortable chair. Bio-curling hair at home is not easy. Firstly, you need to clearly know how to do this, secondly, be able to prepare a solution of the product, and thirdly, know the sequence of what actions must be followed.

But on the other hand, this procedure is not so labor-intensive. The ingredient composition of the biological perm product is sold in disposable packaging, which is enough for exactly one procedure.

You will need:

  • bio-curling products;
  • shampoo that does not contain silicone;
  • plastic or wooden sticks on which hair will be wound;
  • latex or rubber gloves;
  • a container made of non-oxidizing material (plastic, glass, earthenware are suitable);
  • foam sponges;
  • plastic or wooden comb;
  • a cap and fabric to protect clothing (peignoir);
  • towels

Important stages of biowave and their essence

  1. Wash your hair with shampoo first.
  2. Dry wet hair with a towel.
  3. Wear gloves.
  4. Apply the biological product to your hair using a sponge, distributing it evenly over the entire length.
  5. Divide into strands. It is desirable that they be the same in the number of hairs.
  6. Wind the separated strands onto wooden sticks.

    The strands must be twisted tightly so that the diameter of the curls is the same. First, curl the hair at the back of your head, then at the crown, and only then at the temples and sides.

  7. Soak your hair in the biological product until you see the liquid begin to drain.
  8. After 10 minutes, untwist one curl and look at the result. Increase the waiting time if necessary.
  9. Take off your cap.
  10. Rinse hair curled into sticks with plenty of water.
  11. Apply a third of the total amount of neutralizing agent and leave for ten minutes.
  12. Remove the chopsticks.
  13. Apply the remaining amount of neutralizer.
  14. After five minutes, rinse off all the biological solution with hot water.
  15. Apply conditioner.
  16. Dry your hair without rinsing out the conditioner.

Thus, after a bioperm, you are a daring and sexy woman, your image is new and moderately playful. Men undoubtedly like this. Your curls give volume and thickness to your entire hair, your hair becomes oilier less often than previously observed, and in the morning you spend a few minutes not on styling, but on a cup of your favorite aromatic coffee.

Today I will talk about what happens to hair after the 7th bioperms, what mistakes could have been avoided, using my example I will show you what hair looks like through month, through three months, through six months and through year.

A few years ago I already wrote about long hair, where I answered the most popular questions from the Internet. Since then, my hair has changed significantly (it has become shorter and weaker), and the questions from those who want to get a bio-perm have increased. Therefore I will tell and show at the same time.

On my 7th bio-perm, I very “successfully” and consistently completed a series of strategic mistakes, which could have been avoided with sound thinking. But this did not happen, so I will have something to tell about.

Like the previous 6 times, I did a Mossa bioperm from the Italian brand Green Light, from the same master, in the same Maramax salon in Odessa.

I came to the procedure with rather short (for me) hair and an indistinct haircut. Since I simply physically couldn’t look at myself in the mirror anymore, I chose the familiar path - I’ll get a bio-perm, so easier to grow hair. So, indeed, it is easier to survive the indistinct length and grow curls below the shoulders.

Within six months before going for the 7th bioperm, I went through the 5th and 6th. Why did I essentially get 3 bio-perms in a row in six months? Why, and am I in my right mind? The right questions - and here is my first mistake.

MISTAKE #1. Wrong choice of bobbin size.

Large-sized bobbins give large, beautiful curls without the effect of Choli's black mother. But! They don’t hold up at all on my thick, dense and heavy hair—the curl begins to straighten out after just a month. Since I wanted to get a light wave, I chose large bobbins, motivating the master with the fact that I myself know everything, an experienced fighter, everything will be as it should. Everything was as it should be. Whole month. Then there was just no way. Okay, I thought, we won’t give up that easily - and I did another bioperm. For large and medium bobbins. The effect lasted a little longer. A few months later my head looked like this:

You can object (and such objections have already been addressed to me on the Internet), they say, Yulia, the hair is normal, “alive” in appearance, you just need to style it beautifully and be patient a little. Well, what can I say: I objectively looked bad with this pile of hair sticking out in different directions at a completely not-my-length. 10 years older than his age. And not that smarter. Also, the bulk of my hair was concentrated in the area of my ears, which not only looked strange, but also distorted the proportions of my face.

If it weren’t for the strong desire to be useful to someone with this article, I I would never show these photos. I would delete them from all media, change passwords and accounts on social networks. But since I called myself a blogger...

So, I came to the salon with hair like this:

This time master Natalya and I chose small bobbins. I was aware that in the first month I would resemble a shaggy poodle, but I didn’t plan to walk around with loose hair, and in a light, careless hairstyle, small curls can be survived. In a month, I thought, the curl will be pulled back, and I will see the usual beauty in the mirror. Ha!

But let's return to biowave. Let me remind you that the procedure takes about an hour and a half (for an experienced hairdresser, for an inexperienced one it takes 4 hours) and includes: washing your hair with “pre-curl” shampoo, winding your hair with bobbins, sequentially applying two formulations to your hair with an interval of 30-40 minutes, washing and drying hair.

There is nothing unusual in this procedure, so I see no point in dwelling on it in detail. After I was freed from the bobbins (and my eyes stopped moving towards my temples from the tension of my hair), I saw this in the mirror curly I'll dig:

Here I like the result, because I see that the curls are curled evenly, the hair looks healthy, the curl is tight and elastic.

Satisfied with myself and my life, I went home (so as not to wash or comb my hair for two days), while once again listening to instructions from Natalya, who reminded me of the need for special care and a modeling haircut. In general, I knew all this myself, I understood that you need to take care of bio-curled hair a little more carefully and carefully, but I got confused and confused, so I didn’t follow any instructions.

AND in 3-4 weeks After the bio-perm, I went on a picnic with friends, where this photo was taken:

Oh Gods! My hair started to look like a bunch of dry grass! Where are my beautiful curls? Where is my healthy hair? Why do only the ends curl, and where did the root volume go? From here we smoothly move on to my next two mistakes.

MISTAKE #2. No structural haircut after bio-perm.

Do not do it this way. And I ask you - do not neglect this advice, a haircut is the most effective way to get beautiful curls after a bio-perm.

About a week after the biowave, you need to visit a hairdresser so that he can shape your hair, cut off dry ends and cut the curls correctly. As a rule, bio-permed hair does not suit straight hair cuts. To get a perky mop, the hair strands must be of different lengths. After visiting the hairdresser, my head began to look much better. In addition to the haircut, I also lightened the ends and stretched the color along the length using the fashionable technique of shatush-balayage-ombre-whatever. And as you can see, the hair began to curl again along its entire length, ceasing to be associated with tow.

During the same period, I tried to correct my third mistake, and I succeeded.

MISTAKE #3. Lack of special hair care after bio-perm.

In a good way, you should not have been greedy, but bought the recommended professional care for curly hair right in the salon. But my toad then said his weighty “come on next time,” and then somehow there was no opportunity, then no finances. However, I switched to more gentle shampoos of available brands (these were Faberlic and Natura Siberica), and began to use moisturizing and nourishing masks and hair balms. I stopped blow-drying my hair and relied on clean water and sea fish. I took vitamins for my hair. And the hair began to actively grow, so that after 2 months it looked like this:

This was already sufficient progress, because the curl was exactly what I needed: elastic and holding its shape. True, the dyed hair did not look very good, since the bleached parts went red, but at that time I did not realize this. It was summer, my hair flowed beautifully in the wind, shone in the sun and did not cause me much trouble.

Then autumn came, but my hair did not change radically: my hair grew slightly, but still fluttered in the wind :)

Then winter came - and I began to notice an obvious transition between my hair growing out and bio-curled ends. Not that this was critical, because simultaneously with the growth of the roots, the curl straightened, but there was some redistribution of the volume again closer to the ears. But I was pleased with the fact that I was slowly cutting off the bleached ends, which I was already tired of, worse than steamed radishes.

The curl was still nice and tight.

But I realized another mistake of mine.

MISTAKE #4. Bad hair color.

Curls love complex dyeing, color tints and glossy shine. Curls do not like rusty, dull, faded shades. Personally, for my taste, curls look good with cool shades of hair and not so much with warm shades. Especially with artificially warm ones. Bright red - yes, pale yellow - no.

Having survived the winter wearing a hat and successfully taking it off in the spring, I realized two things: I need to change my haircut (because I was really tired of the semicircular cut, by that time it only emphasized the transition from straight hair to curls) and I need to get rid of the faded color at the ends hair.

Since I really missed my native brown hair color, I decided to return to it. Through some tricks on the part of the colorist, we came up with a uniform brown shade along the entire length, with a cold undertone.

As you can see from the photo, a year after the bio-curl, the curls straightened significantly, but did not disappear completely. This happened due to the fact that I did a bio-perm with small bobbins (and regularly maintained the curl with haircuts). In a year there would be no trace left of the large bobbins in my hair.

When viewed from the front, the hair looks pretty decent, a little careless, but I like this effect.

In all photos, the hair is not combed or specially styled in any way. The same “woke up and went” that many people dream about. I love the effect of “beach curls” and all this rock and roll on the hair. But girls who love neat, hair-to-hair styling will have a hard time with a bio-perm.

It is worth honestly recognizing the fact that hair does not always look the same. One day the curls lie beautifully and neatly as if on command, the next day the hairstyle looks like a wig for the image of a city madwoman. Sometimes I wash my hair and enjoy the finished stylish styling without a hairdryer or stylers, and sometimes this doesn’t happen, and I “enjoy” variations of the hairstyle on the “common muzzle” theme. Biowave is not a panacea and not a thing in itself. This is just one of the hair structure options that suits some, but not others. It fits me. I like carelessness, ease, sticking hairs and global commotion on my head. And it suits me, if that's what we're talking about. That's why I did 7 biowaves. But I’m not at all sure that I’ll make an eighth one anytime soon. But if I do, I’ll definitely show you :)

The main answers to the questions about whether bio-perming spoils hair, in what cases it is contraindicated, how long it lasts and how to choose the right hairdresser have already been written and are contained in my first article on this topic: “ “.

The topic of biowave is very popular, and it is quite possible that I have not fully revealed all the subtleties and nuances. Ask questions in the comments, and just in case, I’ll think about the third part of this saga :)
