Cold and snowy weather is also good because you can add variety to your look with different accessories. What is the most important accessory in the autumn-winter period? Of course, gloves and mittens.

Mittens-gloves, the best accessory

For those who have already knitted this irreplaceable element of their wardrobe, this master class will tell you how else you can diversify the creative process and the final look of the product.

Guided by the diagrams and descriptions, try to knit mittens-gloves that are both original and practical.

Required materials and tools

- knitting needles number 3.5 in the amount of 5 pieces;

- 100 grams of 100 percent wool yarn. For example, "Merino pur".

To work you will need the following patterns:

- elastic band, which is performed by alternately alternating the front and back;

- smooth surface. This pattern is made using purl and front rows. Remember that when knitting in the round you only need to make knit stitches.

A sample whose dimensions are 10 by 10 centimeters should have a knitting density of about 27 loops per 37 rows.

First stages of work

The left glove should be knitted first. If you have already taken all the measurements and calculated the necessary indicators, then you can get to work. Let's assume that you have 48 loops. Cast them on 4 needles and then close them into a ring. Use the usual elastic pattern for the first 10 centimeters of the fabric. When 38 circles are ready, you can move on to working only with facial ones. Thus, 28 circles should be completed, which further form the outer side of the glove. The same number of rows will serve to form the inner side.

Subsequent stages

After 21 loops in the 2nd row from the beginning of the elastic, you need to add 1 more. You should also add 4 more times in every 4 circles. Continue knitting the mitten gloves for 6 centimeters. After knitting 24 rows, switch to a safety pin, preferably a large one. You need to leave 11 loops of the future wedge on it. Now dial 3 to form jumpers and continue to work the fabric in a circle. Before starting the 2nd row, knit the first 2 loops with a slant to the left in pairs. Also knit the last 2 stitches together. Stepping back from the thumb hole, make 4 centimeters of the canvas. Now transfer 6 loops on the outer side and the same number on the inner side to a separate knitting needle.

We knit the phalanges of the fingers

Cast on 14 loops to tie the jumpers. Before knitting, they should be distributed over 3 knitting needles. Continue with facials. When the length for each phalanx is ready (about 5 centimeters or 18 loops after the jumper), you need to knit 2 loops in pairs at the end of each knitting needle. You need to do this until there are only 5 loops left. Finish the work by tightening and securing the loops with a working thread.

From the jumper, which is located between the sides of the mitten-glove, try to pull out 2 loops and knit 2 circles with the same knit stitches. Transfer the last few loops of the outer side, as well as the first of the inner side, to another knitting needle. In addition, to form the ring finger, you will need a set of 17 loops to form a jumper. Continue knitting in the round, and 6 centimeters later, finish the tip of the finger in the same way as described for the little finger.

Winter and autumn are the most fun times for your face and hands. They are constantly in contact with fresh air, which means rain, cold, wind and other unpleasant phenomena of the cold season. And if the face can be hidden in a collar, under a hat or hood, then the hands are given a miserable refuge in the form of pockets or gloves. And it’s good if the gloves are good enough not to interfere with your fingers’ movement. After all, on the street you have to take out your wallet (and then count out money), and use your mobile phone, and perform a bunch of other small operations.

Crochet gloves, yes and knitted gloves, designed specifically to combine the incongruous: finger mobility and warmth for the hands. Clear, uncomplicated patterns will make the process of knitting gloves and mittens enjoyable, and you will be rewarded with wonderful accessories that will allow you to fully enjoy the cold weather. A mittens knitted, which were knitted by our grandmothers as a gift to restless grandchildren, will warm the most dear and beloved sons and daughters. And for those needlewomen who have not yet mastered knitting needles, crochet mittens, which in loving hands turn into a real protective talisman for your children.

You will need: mohair yarn (550 m/100 g) -100 g melange yarn, set of stocking needles No. 2.

The product is knitted with 2 folds of thread.

Rib 1x1: knit 1 alternately. p., 1 p. n. In from. rows of loops knit according to the pattern.

Front stitch: front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.

Knitting density: 26 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Description of knitting gloves-mittens:

Cast on 48 stitches and distribute them onto 4 needles. Knit the cuff in the round for 50 rows using an elastic band. Next, continue knitting faces. satin stitch Knit 4 rows, then make increases for the thumb wedge - before and after the 1st loop of the 1st knitting needle, add 1 stitch. Knit the stretch between the two loops with a knit stitch. The added loops are on the first knitting needle. Repeat these increases 5 more times (increase 1 stitch along the edges of the newly cast on loops) in every fourth row. Next, temporarily set aside 13 stitches of the wedge - to do this, transfer the loops to a safety pin.

Between the last loop of the 4th needle and the 1st loop of the 1st needle, cast on 5 stitches for the jumper. The beginning of the row for the left glove is behind these loops, on the right glove - in front of these loops. Knit 10-11 rows, decreasing 5 stitches - in every second row, 1 stitch on each side of the jumper made. There should be 48 stitches left on the knitting needles. Next, start knitting your fingers. Divide the loops - 14 stitches for the index finger, 12 for the middle finger, 12 for the ring finger and 10 stitches for the little finger.

Forefinger: knit 14 sts from the main part and cast on new 2 sts for the jumper = 16 sts. Distribute these loops onto 3 knitting needles and knit with the fourth. For the index finger, knit 7 rows of knits. satin stitch and 3 rows of ribbed stitch. Close the hinges.

Middle and unnamed knit the fingers in the same way, but with two jumpers on both sides of the fingers, each of the two loops = 16 stitches per finger.

Little finger knit on the remaining 10 loops + 2 sts. jumpers = 12 sts. For the little finger, knit 5 rows of knits. satin stitch and 3 rows of rib.

Thumb: take the set aside 13 sts, pull 5 sts from the jumper = 18 sts. Knit to a height of 5 cm. Follow the fingertip as follows - in one row, knit 2 sts together, from these 11 sts, knit another row, then pull the loops working thread.

Hood-mitten: in a row 4-5 rows below the beginning of the fingers, cast on 24 sts from the outside of the glove. Cast on another 24 sts. Knit the hood on 48 loops in a circle - on the outside of the faces. stitch, from the palm side, knit 6 rows with an elastic band, then continue with knits. satin stitch After about 20 rows from the start of knitting (4.5-5 cm), start decreasing in every second row: on the 1st knitting needle, remove the first loop unknitted, knit the next one and pull through the removed loop. Knit the penultimate and last stitches of the 2nd needle together. At the beginning of the 3rd knitting needle, perform a decrease as on the 1st knitting needle, on the 4th knitting needle - as on the 2nd knitting needle. So decrease the loops until there is 1 loop left on the knitting needles. Gather the remaining loops onto the thread, tighten and fasten the thread to the wrong side. side.

Second mitten knit symmetrically.

Mittens-gloves (sometimes also called transformers), knitted on knitting needles from warm yarn of different colors, never go out of fashion. Their popularity is explained by the fact that mittens-gloves are very comfortable. They are traditionally associated with the image of a female conductor or market seller, because the original style of mittens-gloves allows you to free your fingers for work (for example, when you need to count money), but at the same time keep your hands warm. The process of knitting such products is very simple; in fact, they are mittens with opening valves that can free your fingers. They come in men's, women's, and children's. These popular open-finger mittens can be knitted or crocheted with a removable top. On the Internet and specialized literature there is a large number of different knitting patterns, equipped with photographs and detailed descriptions.

Before starting to knit such original mittens, a novice craftswoman must prepare everything she needs. So, to knit mittens with a folding top, beginners and more experienced needlewomen will need:

For convenience, ready-made mittens can be equipped with a small button in order to fasten or unfasten the convertible top. Ready-made models of transformable mittens almost always have a button, because it makes wearing such mittens much more convenient. The color of the button should be in harmony with the color of the finished model.

Knitting transformable mittens: general description of work

The technology for knitting flip-top mittens is quite simple and Even a novice needlewoman can easily handle knitting this pattern. The main thing you need to pay attention to when starting to knit and then connect the finished parts into a single whole is that both elements are symmetrical and completely identical. To do this, you need to ensure that the number of rows, the number of loops, and the knitting density of both mittens completely coincide. If you strictly follow the scheme, there should be no unpleasant surprises.

Mitten with flip top consists of several parts: This is the base (consisting of front and back), five fingers and a convertible top. It is recommended to start knitting with the warp, then move to the fingers and finish knitting with a folding top. After the individual fragments of the model are ready, they need to be linked together. The result should be a glove, on which a kind of “hood” is placed, thanks to which the glove can easily be transformed into a finished product. Hence the popular name of this model - "transformable mittens".

In order for your hand-knitted mittens to turn out exactly the same as in the photo, and to avoid any unpleasant surprises during work, you need to keep in mind some practical recommendations.

Mittens with folding top or transformable mittens will serve as an original gift and will not go out of fashion for a long time. This model has enjoyed constant popularity for many seasons in a row due to the fact that such wardrobe elements keep hands warm even in the most severe frost. In addition, they are warmer than ordinary gloves and more comfortable than classic mittens. Both adults and children will wear this model with great pleasure, and novice craftswomen can easily cope with the work. The main thing is patience, attentiveness and a little imagination. Knitting original mittens will not take much time.

Hi all!
I continue to promote knitting mittens in this way, because it is a comfortable finger, especially for children wearing socks, and it is convenient to knit.
This is the easy way. Having knitted a pair of three mittens in this way, you will be surprised that at first it seemed difficult.

These mittens are knitted from different sizes of yarn with the addition of mohair. They asked me to make a MK for this thickness. That's why they are "not very good".

I made a master class for children's mittens and for adults. It contains a table of calculations for any size from 20 stitches in the cast-on row to 60 stitches.
MK is paid. Detailed. Write and ask.

Start of the table. The entire table is in the master class.

What determines the number of loops? Depending on the size of the brush and the thickness of the yarn. From the number of spokes
What determines the height of the wedge (the width of the initial number of thumb loops)? From the width of the palm. My husband has a wide hand, but short, not musical fingers, which means... You will understand this when you start knitting.

How to calculate how many loops you need to cast on mittens? As usual. As you always knitted mittens, you already possess these skills. But I’ll remind you anyway. For a medium yarn for an average women's handle, that's 44 stitches. For men's it is 48 loops. For children, it depends on age, from 20 to 40.
So, you have decided on the yarn (I knit mittens from lan gold 800m/100g with the addition of thin mohair (it comes with the addition of acrylic or angora), about 500m/100g.)
We decided on the number of loops for the mittens. Look at the table and distribute the loops onto 4 knitting needles, mark the beginning of the circular row with a marker, this is the beginning of the 1st knitting needle, there may not be an equal number of loops on each knitting needle, but on the palm and back side it should be the same, mark with a marker and the middle of the circular row. As soon as you went beyond the marker, you moved to the back of the mitten.

The table will tell you how many loops on the palm you will knit for the finger, with how many loops you will start knitting the wedge, i.e. the future palm, how many loops the thumb will consist of, how many loops to cast on the jumper of the 2nd and 3rd knitting needles. This is the junction of the circular row after removing the finger loops onto an additional thread (connection of the 2nd and 3rd knitting needles).

Then knit as many rows with additions as there are in the original number of loops for the thumb. For example, if there are initially 10 thumb stitches (no jumper), this will be 10 rows. Thus, the same number of loops as rows will be added to the wedge (palm).

After this, remove the finger loops with an additional thread and connect the loops remaining on the knitting needles into a circle.
Next, knit the mitten as usual, according to your length measurements.
Move on to the finger. On the jumper, according to the table, cast on loops with a crochet hook without thread, from what you have so that there are no holes, do not go deep into the mitten, it should be beautiful and unnoticeable. Remove the loops from the thread onto the knitting needles. Knit a finger along your length.
