Childhood of Igor Akinfeev

Igor loved football since childhood; when he was four years old, his parents began to take him to the first training sessions at the PFC CSKA youth school, and the boy was two years younger than the rest of the students. Already after the second training session, Desiderius Fedorovich Kovacs, the first coach of the young football player, realized that Igor was a born goalkeeper.
